Jan. 9, 2016: My wife and I participated in a dinner party at Consul General's residence to welcome famous Japanese sister singers, Saori Yuki & Sachiko Yasuda, who visited Chicago for 2016 JCCC New Year Party scheduled on the next day.

August 13, 2020: Visit to graves of the Sogo family & September 5, 2020: 3rd Anniversary Memorial Service of Hisa Sogo

Aug.13, 2020: Visited graves of the Sogo family in intense heat, as a Japanese custom during Obon. The third mourning of my wife is coming soon. My relegion is a Japanese Zen Buddhism sect called Soto. The Soto sect in Japan was introduced by Dogen. In the Soto sect, meditators face a wall of Zendo hall and sit in lotus position. Life is full of ups and downs, and I will just keep moving forward with the spirit of Daruma. “Fall seven times and up eight times !!”   In the Soto sect of Zen, “Living each day like one’s last”.
