December 25, 2013: Michael Jordan’s house in Highland Park

 At Christmas Day, our family visited Michael Jordan's 56,000 square-foot house in Highland Park, north of Chicago. This house has failed to sell at auction, as nobody wants to pay the required $13 million reserve price. Too expensive for a Christmas present !

August 13, 2020: Visit to graves of the Sogo family & September 5, 2020: 3rd Anniversary Memorial Service of Hisa Sogo

Aug.13, 2020: Visited graves of the Sogo family in intense heat, as a Japanese custom during Obon. The third mourning of my wife is coming soon. My relegion is a Japanese Zen Buddhism sect called Soto. The Soto sect in Japan was introduced by Dogen. In the Soto sect, meditators face a wall of Zendo hall and sit in lotus position. Life is full of ups and downs, and I will just keep moving forward with the spirit of Daruma. “Fall seven times and up eight times !!”   In the Soto sect of Zen, “Living each day like one’s last”.
